On-premises in the printing sector: "Serverless Printing" saves on-site IT and helps to save costs.

In addition to the AirPrint functionality for Smartphone, docuFORM introduces its in-house cloudprinting concept.

Using the docuFORM Cloud, print or MPS data can be distributed, organized or printed worldwide, whereby an on-site IT infrastructure can be dispensed with as far as possible.

As part of the docuFORM MPS solution (Managed Print Services), the company has set up its own data center in the Frankfurt area in recent years. There, MPS data for print service providers is currently being hosted and administered. It also creates the docuFORM Cloud, which can be used to cover a wide variety of functionalities.

These are:

• Print without a local print server (any time @ any place!)
• Connections to external environments, such as geographically distributed corporate offices
• Integration of the Follow "2" print solution among others as part of the GPI (Global Printer Interface) workflow
• Print via Smartphone or laptop from outside of closed customer networks into those networks.

Serverless Printing (Cloud Printing)

Particularly suitable is the "serverless cloudprinting" concept for network environments with low bandwidth, since the print data never leave the house on-site. Furthermore, there is a significant cost reduction for end users due to the elimination of IT infrastructure, amongst others print server on site.

By integrating the Follow "2" print solution, print data from different locations can be retrieved without the need for additional IT infrastructure on site. In this case, the Follow "2" print data is managed via a central Follow "2" Print queue in the cloud, which then distributes the data after a secure authentication of the end user on site.

The cloudprinting concept can be cascaded within the docuFORM cloud and is offered to the end user as a service concept.

Because the cloudprinting concept integrates seamlessly with the Mercury Suite and its structure, classic printing combined with cloud printing can be combined.

Ultimately, the user should be enabled under the "serverless cloudprinting" concept with the help of the patented GPD (Global Printer Interface) functionality, amogst others with his laptop anywhere, be it on business or outside his in-house IT infrastructure, to log into docuFORM cloud to get employees information and print data, output them, or even print data to a cloud mailing list to enable seamless work with employees outside their own home IT.
